The enclosure box dimensions are as follows: Left side height: 31 cm, Right side height: 27 cm, Bottom side length: 29 cm, Top side length: 33 cm, Width: 15 cm.
Can the MACE Performance Cold Air Intake Kit pod filter be reused or washed?
Yes, the pod filter is reusable and does not need to be replaced immediately. To clean it, soak the filter in soapy water and then dry it carefully using compressed air, blowing from the inside out (opposite to the normal airflow). This method can be used a few times before the filter eventually needs replacement. However, for best results and long-term reliability, we recommend replacing the filter at the regular service interval.
Does the MACE LS Conversion Air Intake Kit to suit Holden VB VC VH VK VL Sedan/Wagon comply with ADR standards?
Our cold air intake kits do not come with blanket ADR compliance, but they are designed to conform to the relevant ADR standards. This is generally sufficient to satisfy an automotive engineer if certification is required. The only exception may relate to the engine itself—specifically how extensively it has been modified—which could affect induction noise. If this becomes an issue, it can usually be addressed by adding sound-deadening material inside the airbox.
Will the MACE Performance Cold Air Intake Kit to suit Holden Commodore VR VS 304 5.0L V8 fit a VS Series 3 ute with a VT roller cam motor?
Unfortunately, this kit will not directly fit the Series 3 VS Commodore. However, it may be possible to modify the piping between the throttle body and the pod filter adaptor tube to accommodate the MAF used in these vehicles. Will the Cold Air Intake Manifold Insulators to suit Alloytec & SIDI VZ–VE V6 engines improve power and fuel economy?
Yes, they will. You can expect gains of around 10% in power and torque, particularly in the lower rev range. Fuel consumption should also improve by approximately 0.5L/100km, depending on driving style and conditions.
Will the engine light come on after installing the MACE Cold Air Intake Kit to suit Holden Commodore VT VX VU VY Ecotec L36 L67 Supercharged 3.8L V6?
No, it won’t. Our kit is a direct bolt-on product that requires no tuning or modifications, so the engine light will not be triggered.
Does the Cold Air Intake Kit to suit Holden Alloytec LY7 LE0 LW2 3.6L V6 come with a heat shield?
No, it doesn’t. However, a heat shield isn’t necessary for this kit as the pod filter is positioned outside the engine bay, within the inner guard, where it is already shielded from engine heat.
Will the Cold Air Intake to suit Ford Falcon BA BF BARRA 6 Cyl XR6 fit a Ford Territory (SY)?
No, it will not. Unfortunately, this is not a product we currently offer for the SY Territory Turbo.
Will the Cold Air Intake Kit to suit Cruze JH A14NET Turbo 1.4L I4 also fit the Barina RS 1.4T?
The kit is specifically designed to suit the Cruze JH A14NET Turbo 1.4L I4 due to differences in engine bay layout. While it may be possible to modify the piping to fit the Barina RS 1.4T, we have not tested or dummy-fitted the kit on that model to confirm compatibility.
Will MACE Cold Air Intake kits pass a pit inspection?
Technically, any aftermarket non-genuine engine component, whether standard or performance, requires the appropriate ADR certification for the specific vehicle to be considered fully legal. That said, in practice, we have not encountered issues with our Cold Air Intake kits during pit inspections.
How long would it take to install the MACE PERFORMANCE COLD AIR INTAKE KIT TO SUIT HOLDEN ALLOYTEC LY7 LE0 3.6L V6 on a stock VZ?

The kit is designed with minimal bends and features a long duct that channels air directly from behind the headlight, where it can access cool, stagnant air outside the engine bay.
Will your COLD AIR INTAKE TO SUIT HOLDEN CRUZE 1.4L Turbo also fit the 1.6L turbo?
It won't, unfortunately.
Does the MACE Performance Cold Air Intake Kit to suit HOLDEN VZ ALLOYTEC LY7 3.6L V6 also fit a 2006 Chevy Lumina V6 3.6?
Given that your vehicle is similar to the VZ SV6, it should fit.
Is it possible to modify the airbox in the MACE Performance Cold Air Intake Kit to suit HOLDEN COMMODORE VN VG VP 304 5.0L V8 so that it fits a HQ–WB Holden with an EFI engine?
While modifications could technically be made, we recommend fabricating a custom airbox from scratch to ensure the best fit and performance for an HQ–WB Holden with an EFI engine.

How much better do the MACE Cold Air Intakes flow compared to the factory cold air intake?
MACE Cold Air Intakes feature an opening area that is approximately 10 times larger than the stock unit, allowing for significantly improved airflow.
Why does the Perspex (clear) lid that came with my MACE Cold Air Intake Kit look brown or white instead of clear?
The lid is supplied with a protective film to prevent scratches during shipping and handling. Please check if the film is still attached. It should peel off easily to reveal the clear Perspex underneath.
What type of performance gains can I expect with a MACE Cold Air Intake?
You can typically see gains of around 3–8 rwkW, depending on your vehicle. Additional gains may be possible with further modifications. The intake also increases air induction noise, often producing a sound similar to a supercharger due to the higher volume of air being drawn through the oversized intake.
With the MACE Cold Air Intake Kit, will the pod filter fit onto the stock intake pipe, or will I need a bigger one?

Will the MACE Cold Air Intake fit a 4" pod filter?
The pod filter supplied with our CAI kits comes with a 3" neck. However, the enclosures are designed with sufficient space to accommodate a larger 4" pod filter if needed.
How hard is it to fit a VCM/MACE SIDI OTR?
Installation isn’t overly difficult if you take your time. The main challenge is that the MAF wiring needs to be lengthened to suit the new setup.
Will MACE Cold Air Intakes work if the car is running on gas (LPG)?
Yes, they will. However, you’ll most likely need to trim one of the rubber hoses supplied in the kit to make space for the gas mixer. This is a simple modification, as the hose is easy to work with.
